It's almost here! Fall is approaching fast, and depending on where you're at in the state, you may have already noticed the leaves are starting to change colors. Whether you're looking for family fun entertainment or just to see beautiful fall foliage, here are 11 places in Washington that you've got to visit this season:

1. Heather - Maple Pass Loop

The colors of the trees along this trail in the North Cascades area are absolutely gorgeous during the fall! The photogenic path goes on for about 7.2 miles roundtrip.

2. Your local pumpkin patch or corn maze

A trip to the pumpkin patch always makes for a fun afternoon! A few of the most popular places include Stoney Ridge Farm in Everson, Remlinger Farms in Carnation, and Hunter Farms in Union, to name a few.

3. Oktoberfest

Washington beer lovers can taste premium brews at the event going on in Fremont (Seattle) from September 18-20, as well as at the famous celebration in Leavenworth in October. You may also want to check out the HOPpingham festival in Bellingham, which will be featuring local beer and wine, live music, and even a car show next Saturday on September 19!

4. Do the Puyallup!

The Washington State Fair never gets old! The excitement has just begun this year and will run from September 11-27.

5. Cowiche Canyon, near Yakima

This canyon in Central Washington makes for another scenic hike where you can view lovely red and yellow fall hues.

There are a variety of stunning fall colors you'll want to photograph at this 3.5 acre Japanese garden in the Madison Park neighborhood!

This trail is located near Washington Pass on North Cascades Highway 20 and only has an elevation gain of 1050 feet, so this hike's doable for almost everyone! It may be icy in October, so be prepared for all conditions - but being able to catch a glimpse of the golden trees is worth the visit!
