The site used a point system that included 28 factors to compile its ranking. Here are 10 reasons why we think Utah is the happiest place in America:

1. Our state is so beautiful, we just can't help but get out and experience it first-hand.

There's nothing like fresh, mountain air to make you feel happy.

2. We spend lots of time with our kids here.

Really - is there any better way to see the world than through the eyes of a child?

3. We stay in touch with extended family, too.

It's great to have such a large support system, isn't it?

Staying fit and healthy definitely makes people happier.
