The Magical Holiday Train In North Dakota That Everyone Should Experience At Least Once

Snow is already here for some of us in North Dakota and it is definitely the beginning of the holiday season. Our pre-Christmas to-do lists are already long, but there is another thing you need to add to your list of holiday plans this year: taking an unforgettable ride on The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train.

The CP Holiday Train will be chugging along through Canada and a few northern states, including North Dakota.

This year they will be going through six North Dakotan towns: Hankinson, Enderlin, Carrington, Harvey, Minot, and Kenmare. These visits will take place on December 13th for Hankinson and Enderlin, and on December 14th for the other four towns.

You can watch it all decked out in lights pull through, and maybe even catch it on its way to another town!

This train is hard to miss at night - it just glows! The holiday lights are beautifully placed along the train cars and it always turn heads wherever it goes.

Santa and other guests will be there to greet kids and entertain all ages.

Live performances directly from the train cars are given at every stop.

This year the North Dakota performers are Kelly Prescott and Colin James, who will help spread holiday cheer from the train. But they will also do something vastly important.

Not only does the train offer a magical experience for everyone who sees it; its main goal is to help raise money, donations, and awareness for local food banks.

Every town the CP Holiday Train stops in will set up a food bank for everyone who comes to donate meals for struggling families this holiday season. They also donate money to a local food bank in every town. How cool is that? Not only are they spreading the joys of the holidays for the people who come to see the train, they are also amazingly generous to those in need of some holiday cheer themselves.

You can bring your whole family to watch the bright and colorful train pull into the town, enjoy the live performances, and make an important donation of money or non-perishable food to your local food bank to help out this year. The gift of giving is what Christmas is all about, and the CP Holiday Train is a perfect way to do it! Viewing the train and the performances are entirely free to you, but donations to your local food bank are encouraged.

It is truly a magical experience for all and not to be missed. Here is the complete schedule for the North Dakota stops this year:
