What are the most dangerous places in New Jersey?

Just like with essentially anywhere else, New Jersey has its fair share of towns where the violent crime rate is higher than average and, as such, they earn a spot on “most dangerous” lists all over the web. At the time of this writing, the most dangerous places in New Jersey include Camden, which has also been called one of the most dangerous places in the United States as well, and Asbury Park, which is a remarkably violence-prone place despite its status as a popular tourist destination (or maybe BECAUSE it’s a popular tourist destination). The city called most dangerous of all is Newark, with residents having a 1 in 37 chance of being the victim of a violent crime.
