Six Flags New Orleans has been abandoned since Hurricane Katrina and is closed to the public.

Six Flags New Orleans has been abandoned since Hurricane Katrina struck in 2005. While these photos are hauntingly beautiful, the park has security cameras and trespassers will be prosecuted, so don't go there! The area is closed to the public and is private property.

What brought joy to so many years ago now just sits idle, collecting rust and slowly deteriorating.

Ok this one is a bit creepy. Beautiful, but creepy. Something about clown heads... anyone else?

A kids ride slowly decays as nature tries to reclaim the area.

Graffiti artists have tagged several buildings and attractions in the park.

Bumper cars collect dust in this long-forgotten attraction.

This place hasn't been a cool zone in years. But then again, do you ever really lose your cool factor?

Years ago this place would be shoulder-to-shoulder with people. Now it's a ghost town.

But don't, because this place is off limits to the public.
