Louisiana is definitely a unique state. It's so unique, it's very difficult to live anywhere else. There are just a lot of things that you have to learn to get used to. Here are the top 10 reasons that people who move here have a hard time leaving.

1. Winter

When 45 degrees is the dead of winter, anything colder than that is terrifying!

2. How friendly everyone is.

You just can’t unlearn saying hello and being friendly to whomever you see. But in most places, it's just normal to be rude.

3. Crawfish boils.

Apparently, in some place they called this a crawfish boil. There's no crawfish!!If you live outside of Louisiana and you have a craving for some spicy boiled crawfish---well, you might as well forget about it. It ain't happening.

4. Getting your sandwiches dressed.

When you go to the sandwich shop and say, I’d like that dressed—and they look at you like your crazy. How else are you supposed to say it?

5. All the fishing spots.

Going fishing outside of Louisiana is boring. In other states they're elated after catching one fish in a few hours.

6. To go cups.

There's nothing more sad then if you have to go and you have to leave a half-drunk beer.

7. The easy-going, relaxed people.

It feels like everywhere else you go, everyone has their headphones in and they are really stressed out.

8. Bars staying open.

There's a lot of places out there where it becomes very difficult to get a drink.

9. Celebrating Mardi Gras

You will never be able to sit still on Mardi Gras day, whether you’re in Louisiana or not. Just knowing all the people who are partying while you are supposed to be working makes you crazy!

10. Gas station coffee.

If you try to get coffee just anywhere outside the state--it's gross.
