1. El Molcajete — 2932 S 4th St. Louisville, Kentucky 40208
This hole in the wall taco spot is close to Churchill Downs and the University of Louisville, so you can't exactly call it a hidden gem. But this little restaurant has some of the best tacos in the city and deserves a spot on our scrumptious trail.
Enjoy a taste of the west coast with this southern California-inspired, tasty menu. The tacos are a definite stand out, but the restaurant is worth a try for the salsa bar alone!
Recently named by Travel and Leisure as some of the best tacos in the country, Louisville is lucky to have El Taco Lucador. With locations in both St. Matthews and the Highlands, order anything from the menu at this eclectic taco shop and you'll be in heaven.
These Louisville guys know good food and Migo is no exception. Their take on Latin fare is unbelievable and you can't go wrong with any of their surf, turf, or vegetarian tacos. Don't forget one of their innovative cocktails to wash it all down.
MexA Steak Tacos is, of course, known for their mouthwatering steak version of this handheld classic, but everything on the menu is worth a try. Everything here is full of flavor and don't forget to try the guacamole and margaritas!

One of the newer taco destinations in Louisville, you need to give The Ville Taqueria a try. Go for the authentic menu choices, be sure and get your tacos "street style," and see why so

7. La Rosita — 5059 Preston Hwy Louisville, KY 40213
Do not be fooled by the unusual location of this authentic taco mecca. It's tucked inside a Mexican grocery store and they serve some of the best tacos you'll find in the city. If you've been thinking of giving lengua a try (yes, that would be tongue), this is the place to do it!
