It’s the most wonderful time of the year. It is officially pumpkin season! Fortunately for us in the Sunflower State, there is no shortage of pumpkin patches around Kansas, including these 11 charming farms that are picture perfect on a fall day:
1. Pumpkin Paradise, LLC (Sublette)
Opened in 2002, this small town treasure is home to 200 different kinds of pumpkins (yes; there is more than one kind of pumpkin!), wagon rides, and an epic corn maze.
2. Applejack Pumpkin Patch (Augusta)
Applejack isn't only open during the fall; the popular pumpkin patch is also open every Saturday in August for their fabulous outdoor market, which offers fresh produce, crafts, and other family fun!
3. Renyer's Pumpkin Farm (Wetmore)
"Home grown fun and farm fresh adventures" await you at Renyer's, which, (in addition to their pumpkin patch), features barrel train rides, duck races, and even special events!
4. Granny Mae's Pumpkin Patch (Dorrance)
Only at Granny Mae's will you find SIX different pumpkin patches: Full Moon Farm, Pumpkin Patch, SuperFreaks, Land of Giants, Gourd Grove, and Munchkin Land.
5. Louisburg Cider Mill (Louisburg)
Looking for even more corn maze (and pumpkin patch) fun? Louis burg and their "2016 Ghost of the Corn Maze" is the place for you! (Did we mention they also sell apple cider and other homemade orchard goodness?)
6. Britt's Garden Acres (Manhattan)
You aren't seeing things... Britt's IS home to adorable baby animals at their petting farm! (Cute baby goats not your thing? Don't worry; they also host a scary corn maze beginning October 22nd).
7. Bergmann Corn Maze (Haysville)
Family movies shown in a barn, unique rides and activities, and the largest corn maze in the area await you in Haysville!
8. Pa's Pumpkin Patch (Hays)
With a name like Pa's, you know that this Ellis County pumpkin patch has to be fun and wholesome... and that it is!
9. Walters Pumpkin Patch (Burns)
Now open for its regular season, Walter's is home to not only a large and ample pumpkin patch, but a number of exciting new attractions and activities added every year. (New additions for 2016 include a new train and depot, Cinderella's Carriage, and Spookley the Square Pumpkin stories.)
10. Gaeddert Farms Corn Maze (Buhler)
Don't let the name fool you; Gaeddert Farms maybe the longest running corn maze in Kansas, but they also have a 5-acre pumpkin patch and other seasonal attractions.
11. Kerby Farm Pumpkin Patch (Bonner Springs)
Located just minutes from Kansas City, Kerby Farm offers visitors a chance to "spend some time living in the past" with its wholesome pumpkin patch, slides, and even good old fashioned horsey swings.
