NDB is constantly packed - call ahead or be prepared to wait for your bagel. Any wait, however, is completely worth it. There's a reason they're so crowded, and a reason why NDB is always at the top of any "best bagel in Delaware" list. The fresh baked bagels are perfectly soft and the cream cheeses are so well mixed (try the scallion cream cheese), and their breakfast sandwiches are absolutely delicious.

If you are on a hunt for the best bagel in Delaware, you have to try J and J Bagels in Georgetown. Their freshly made bagels take their delicious breakfast and lunch sandwiches up another level, and you will be hard pressed to find a more delicious combination in the area. The bagels themselves are baked perfectly, which is something that I have found very hard to find downstate.

Baked in Dewey is a wonderful little coffee shop that serves the best cupcakes, cookies and cakes around - but most people do not know about their unbelievable breakfast sanwiches. They serve them up on fresh baked bagels that prove this is not just a sweet shop. The Veggie Delight is my favorite sandwich on the menu.
