The 9 Coziest Towns In Wyoming To Snuggle Up In This Season
It’s time to plan a Wyoming winter getaway, and there’s no better place to escape from it all than to visit these 9 cozy towns. You’ll find plenty to do and plenty of gorgeous Wyoming scenery surrounding them, and by the time your trip is over, you will have fallen in love with Wyoming over and over again.
Centennial is a snowmobile paradise in the winter - which is really most of the year out here! Book a stay at the
Mountain Meadow Cabins
for the coziest getaway in the Snowy Range.
Lander is a charming and cozy town year-round, but in the winter, it's truly something special. Try to rent a yurt out in Sinks Canyon State Park for a snowglobe camping experience you'll never forget.
Jackson has a reputation worldwide for being a snowbird nirvana. Stay in the charming town and use it as your launchpad to visit the ski resorts, National Elk Refuge, National Wildlife Art Museum, and Grand Teton National Park.
4. Green River
Green River is a great little getaway town - especially if you love wildlife! Head out for a cool winter hike in the Flaming Gorge, spot wild horses just outside of town, or hang around downtown and visit the many small businesses that are happy to make your stay a memorable one.
Saratoga is the best winter getaway if you need a break from the cold. The healing mineral hot springs will make you feel refreshed and rejuvenated, and you'll probably want to just soak all day. Watching the snow fall from the
Saratoga Hot Springs Resort
, and then heading over to Hotel Wolf for one of the state's best steaks, is my dream vacation.
Pinedale is a great little town for those who love the outdoors. There is plenty to do downtown, with restaurants, cafes, and shops, but getting out on the snowshoe or snowmobile trails will show you the beauty of Wyoming like you've never seen before.
Sheridan is a quaint historic town that's packed with things to do in the winter. Hit local trails on your snowmobile or on foot to see wild beauty, or stick to town and enjoy bars, restaurants and coffee shops. Pick up a new read from Ye Olde Book Knook on Main Street and you'll have something to keep you company while you enjoy the cozy indoors.
Casper is one of the best towns in Wyoming no matter when you visit. Try ice climbing, ice fishing, ice skating... or stick to the restaurants that have fireplaces and you'll stay warm and cozy.
9. Afton & the Star Valley
For some stunning scenery, visit Afton and the Star Valley in the wintertime. The wide open valley with the mountains as backdrops is sure to take your breath away, and with plenty to do (and eat!) in Afton, you'll have a great time.
10. Ten Sleep
Ten Sleep is a tiny town that's a great place to get away from it all. Stay at the Meadowlark Lake Resort for a getaway that will leave you feeling refreshed and ready to relax all winter long.
