Celebrate Autumn The Right Way With These 6 Epic Wyoming Oktoberfests

September in Wyoming means a lot of things… Harvest, chillier weather, the beginning of the gorgeous autumn colors. It’s also time for Oktoberfests across the state. Because of the time of year Oktoberfest hits, many assume that it’s a harvest festival, but that’s not the case. The original celebration was in honor of a Bavarian prince’s wedding, and everyone had so much fun, it became tradition for communities to come together in the fall and have a great time. Over the centuries, it has evolved into an epic carnival-like party and beerfest.

Even if you have no Germanic DNA, you’ll still enjoy celebrating Oktoberfest in Wyoming. Featuring polka music, dancing, and, of course, beers and brats, there’s no other festival quite like it.
