Svilar's Bar & Steak House is located at 173 S. Main Street in Hudson. The appearance on the outside is very unassuming but inside you will enjoy an incredible dining experience.

In fact, Duncan Hines even compiled a guide to some of the best restaurants around the world. He once ate at Svilar's and Mr. Hines rated it as one of the finest restaurants to dine in the United States.

The restaurant started out as a bar and pool parlor run by Dan Svilar who immigrated here from Yugoslavia. His wife, Bessie, or affectionately known as Mama Svilar, started serving miners here with huge portions of food. She was very creative with her culinary dishes and always improvised. The Svilar's actually put Hudson on the map because of Mama Svilar's cooking.

The tradition continues here today when it comes to their selection of delectable food. Their menu includes steaks, prime rib, seafood, chicken, hamburgers and their famous home-made sarma and ravioli.
