If you’re looking for one of the best trails in Wyoming to add to your bucket list this year, you’ve got to consider Hidden Falls. This easy loop trail near Jenny Lake is a gem of Grand Teton National Park.
Hidden Falls is one of the highest rated trails in Wyoming, and you'll find it tucked away in Cascade Canyon, Grand Teton National Park
Most hikers choose to take the Jenny Lake Boat to the trailhead. It's an inexpensive and scenic way to get there, but you can also hike two miles from the parking lot to get there on foot.
Once you've docked, or made it to the trailhead, you're in for quite a treat! Take a short set of switchbacks until you find the place where the trail splits off, and be sure to follow the trail markers for the Hidden Falls / Inspiration Point trail.
Because this trail is so popular, it's meticulously maintained. While there is a bit of elevation gain, it's mostly on cleared trails that have been tweaked for an easy trek.
The journey to Hidden Falls is as scenic as the destination! Give yourself plenty of time to take it all in. Look out for bears! They're common in these woods.
It's easy to walk right by Hidden Falls, so listen out for the roar of water and follow it when you get close! This towering, tumbling waterfall is one of the most impressive sights in the park.
From the Jenny Lake Trailhead and back, you'll cover just under five miles. If you take the shuttle boat to start, the trip is only about two miles out and back.
Once you've made it to the falls, take a short break before continuing another half mile to find Inspiration Point. Look for the split in the trail on your way back and you'll find it!
