Yellowstone is truly a land of enchantment. Anyone who visits will immediately understand why this landscape was so fascinating to all who have seen it in the past. Grand Prismatic is a stunningly beautiful hot spring that's known for its bright rainbow of colors created by bacterial mats and living organisms in the superheated water.

You can wander out toward the spring on boardwalk trails, getting so close that you'll feel the steam rising. Be sure to stay on the boardwalk, though - the thin crust around the spring is fragile and can break, causing extreme injuries or even death.
