Don’t be discouraged by the length of the trail – it is relatively easy hiking, and it’s one of the most heavily trafficked trails in the wilderness area. Chances are, you’ll have some company to encourage you along. If you’ve never hiked in the backcountry before, take an experienced companion, and don’t forget your bear spray.
