The business started as a bottling plant by an entrepreneur, Floyd (Twig) Hartwig who decided to go into the soda industry after returning home from the Korean War. It was a very good move.
Twig’s bottled the iconic Sundrop brand, as well as local favorites like Bullseye Rootbeer and Goody Orange, sometimes mixing the concoctions with an axe handle. They became inspiration for today’s flavors like root beer, grape, orange, and black cherry.
