Milwaukee might not be as well known for pizza as Chicago or New York, but if you look around you’re sure to find a slice that competes with the best of them. These 13 pizza places are full of gooey cheese and everything you need.

1. Transfer Pizzeria Cafe
This popular spot on the edge of Walker's Point and Bay View is sure to satisfy—especially if you like garlic! Whatever you order, be sure to order a side of their homemade garlic sauce.

2. San Giorgio Pizzeria Napoletana
This Neapolitan-certified pizza spot downtown has delicious stone-fire pizza. The owner, Gino, is sure to stop in and say hello. This place is friendly and serves up quite the slice.

3. Fixture Pizza Pub
Fixture Pizza on 2nd Street is an awesome industrial-feeling pub pizzeria. They offer thin crust and deep dish pizza!

4. Zaffiro's Pizza
Zaffiro's has been a Milwaukee staple since 1954. Their unique ultra-thin crust is a cheesy, crispy treat you can only find on the east side. This is hands-down one of Milwaukee's best classic pizza shops.

5. Classic Slice
Classic Slice is a unique pizza experience in Bay View. They serve vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options both by the slice and as a whole pie. This hip pizza spot is a must-taste if you're in Bay View.

6. Ian's Pizza
Ian's Pizza is an east side staple. Ian's is great if you're looking for something different. Their pizzas change monthly and they use every ingredient under the sun. Whether you're looking for classic pepperoni, or a whole Thanksgiving dinner on top of your pizza, Ian's has it. Their mac n' cheese pizza is their most popular pie.

7. Balistreri’s Italian American Ristorante
This family-owned Tosa spot is an absolute gem. Their eclectic decorations, red and white checkered table cloths, and delicious thin crust pizza will make you feel as though you're a part of the familia!

8. Pizzeria Scotty
This west side spot is a solid go-to for any pizza night. It's one of the few places in Milwaukee where you can find Chicago-style deep dish, and it's totally worth it.

9. Lisa's Pizza
Lisa's Pizza is a sweet little spot, just like their sauce! Their homemade recipe is on the sweeter side, and is long-loved by many Milwaukeeans. Take out or dine in, and you're sure to enjoy Lisa's.

10. Pizza Man
A few years ago, the original Pizza Man burned down in a tragic fire. Nevertheless, they're back and doing better than ever. This is arguably Milwaukee's best pizza, and we're not arguing. On Wednesdays, they have BOGO pizzas if you dine in, so bring a friend and get your grub on!

11. Riverwest Pizza
Riverwest Pizza (or 'RWP') is a funky and underrated spot to grab a beer and a slice in good ole' Riverwest. With fresh toppings, a patio out back, and a solid beer list, you can't go wrong.

12. Sal's Pizza
Sal's is a New York-style pizza joint on MKE's east side. Near UWM, this is a great spot to stop in and pick up a pizza for those long study nights. Don't forget the garlic knots!

13. Pizza Shuttle
Pizza Shuttle may be one of the most iconic pizza places in Milwaukee. They've been around since 1985 and their decor hasn't changed much since. You can play retro arcade games and, aside from pizza, you can munch on everything from burgers to wings—their menu is huge. The best part is they're open late for all your post-bar cravings. Pizza Shuttle has Milwaukee written all over it, and we could never do without.
