If your idea of the perfect getaway includes a simple, private, remote back-to-nature experience, then you won't want to miss the opportunity to enjoy a few nights away at in this isolated tent in the remote woods of Flying Squirrel Ranch and Farm in Purgitsville (a small community not far from Romney in West Virginia's Eastern Panhandle). The icing on the cake? Flying Squirrel Ranch and Farm is also the location of the Rada brand distillery! That's right, you can go camping overnight at a remote distillery right here in West Virginia.
Welcome to Flying Squirrel Ranch & Farm and the Rada Distillery. Sit. Sip on some local spirits. Chat.
In fact, make plans to stay awhile. That's because there's a unique, secluded glamping site located right here on the distillery premises!
Featuring a large, minimally furnished tent (a mattress and linens are provided), a charcoal grill, a picnic table, a fire ring, an open-air hot shower, and a composting toilet, this campsite has all the rustic privacy and seclusion of primitive camping without some of primitive camping's drawbacks.
Note that pets are allowed, but not inside the tent.
This campsite offers access to hiking trails, a fishing pond, tastings from the distillery (and you can purchase more of what you like!), fossil hunting, birdwatching, and more.
Driving right up to the tent isn't recommended for most vehicles, so come prepared for a short walk to your accommodation. You know what that means - you really will be getting away from it all here in this beautiful slice of wild, wonderful West Virginia.

If you love the idea of spending the night at a distillery or winery, but a cabin is more your style than a luxury tent, try Lambert's Vintage Winery near Weston.
