Tucked away near Nebo, West Virginia, is a small pizza and ice cream shop that has made a big name for itself: Pizzas & Cream. What started as a backyard weekend project has turned into a unique, full-fledged restaurant with nearly 10,000 devoted Facebook followers (and likely many more than that in real life). So what's all the fuss about?
As you might expect, Pizzas & Cream is famous for two things: wood-fired pizza...
...and homemade ice-cream. And they do a fantastic job with both of these American favorites.
Both the pizza and the ice-cream flavors vary seasonally, and the coming of fall brings a new line-up of flavor favorites, including Pumpkin Pie Ice Cream (pictured).
Yes, those are REAL BITS of Pumpkin Pie in there! And since it's only available for a limited time, you'll want to drop everything and run over to Pizzas and Cream right now to get a scoop while you have the chance.
Of course, if you miss your window of opportunity, you can always just enjoy whatever flavor IS in season when you visit. Peach Cobbler? Apple Pie? Girl Scout S'mores? Peppermint Pattie? Strawberry Brownie Truffle? YOU NEVER KNOW.
Basically, you just have to check back every week to make sure you never miss a flavor!
And while you're at Pizzas and Cream picking up your ice-cream, you might as well grab one of the best pizzas you've ever tasted to complement your dessert.
You can eat outdoors on-site in this rural, farm setting, or you can get your order to go.
Are you one of those 10,000 Facebook followers who already knows and loves the food at Pizzas & Cream? If not, come on out to 133 Nebo Walker Road in Nebo to see what all the fuss is about! Be sure to bring cash or a checkbook, as Pizzas and Cream does not accept credit or debit cards. Pizzas start at $10; ice cream scoops start at $2. They are open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and ask that you call in your order ahead of time if possible to (304) 286-2985.
