Every year in the mountains of West Virginia, thousands gather in the small town of Lewisburg to celebrate the amazing Chocolate Festival! This festival has been going on for 9 years now, and the 10th annual festival is already being planned for next Spring. No one knows how to throw a great festival like this West Virginia small town. 1) The Ninth Annual Chocolate Festival in downtown Lewisburg, WV just took place last weekend!
This contest is for all ages, with different categories of children to adults.

9) Lewisburg has some amazing independent owned restaurants and these restaurants offer chocolate themed menu items during the Chocolate Festival weekend.
This is made out of chocolate! Oh, how delightful.
10) Some of the chocolate themed menu items include: Grilled chicken breast served over angel hair pasta topped with dark chocolate marinara sauce, smoked baby back ribs with chocolate glaze, and ribeye with a chocolate stout pan sauce.
By the end of the day, someone would need a wheel barrow to throw me into to get me back to my car.
11) The Lewisburg Chocolate Festival wouldn't be complete without a chocolate bake-off! All of the proceeds from the bake-off benefit the Greenbrier Humane Society.

13) The Lewisburg Chocolate Festival has several tasting locations including: The Asylum, The Bakery, Bella the Corner Gourmet, City Hall, Edith's, The General Lewis Inn, and several more!
14) Some of the many wonderful treats that were available at this year's festival included: coconute brownies, organic salazon chocolate bars sprinkled with natural sea-salt, chocolate pecan bread pudding, and so much more!

Nothing is more enticing than chocolate! And this small town really knows what’s up when it comes to chocolate. This festival doesn’t have any regular chocolate that you can find any other day. All of the chocolates that are at this festival are so unique and are completely delectable!
