It may be odd to call another country's food an icon for a state, but we have a lot of great Italian food options here. That stems from have a lot of Italian immigrants during the 20th century.

These are a West Virginia tradition that started in the coal mines. Miners needed something to carry to eat with them in the mines. These pepperoni rolls did quite nicely.
