The Holiday Train Ride Through West Virginia That’s Nothing Short Of Magical

Everyone loves train rides, and there’s a new Christmas-themed train ride this year at the Cass Scenic Railroad! Take a look at this journey that will be available starting next week.

We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life as we all practice social and physical distancing. While we’re continuing to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, we don’t expect or encourage you to go check them out immediately. We believe that supporting local attractions is important now more than ever and we hope our articles inspire your future adventures! And on that note, please nominate your favorite local business that could use some love right now:

You can watch Durbin & Greenbrier Valley Railroad’s video about the trip here.

The first trip will be on the weekend of November 25-27. Elf Limited trains will then run every Wednesday through Sunday from November 30 until December 11. You can choose either a 5:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. departure time.

Adults are $47.00 per person, and Children (4-11) are $41.00 per person. Children 3 and under are free. For more information or to book tickets, visit the website or call 877-686-724.

For another great train ride, check out the Heart of West Virginia railroad trip that makes several historic stops, with an overnight in an old company house and a visit to a ghost town.
