Known as Washington's best-kept secret (and one of the most haunted towns in the Pacific Northwest), Port Gamble is a quiet little spot on the Kitsap Peninsula, situated on the shores of scenic Hood Canal. Once a bustling town with a prominent sawmill, these days, it's home to fewer than 1,000 residents. It's also home to one of the oldest general stores in Washington.
But the Port Gamble General Store and Cafe, which has been around seemingly forever, is still going strong. In fact, it's more popular than ever. Let's take a closer look at this lovely Washington general store in Port Gamble, WA.
The Port Gamble General Store and Café is located 32400 N Rainier Ave NE.
When you come into town, it's impossible to miss.
Ginny and Juan Carosso bought the general store in the summer of 2019, and they've done a wonderful job of keeping things fresh and modern while holding on to the pieces of the past.
