Welcome to Old Town Alexandria! Situated on a beautiful stretch of the Potomac River, it's one of the most visually stunning small towns in Virginia.
Alexandria is historic, too. It was founded as a port city in 1749. As you walk the cobblestone streets or the one-mile historic King Street, you won't help but notice the historic (and in some cases, downright eclectic) architecture.
Of course, what really sets Alexandria apart is its location on the river. You can take a water taxi to the other riverbank or simply enjoy a waterfront restaurant to soak in the views.
Some of our favorite restaurants include Daniel O'Connell's Irish Restaurant & Bar, Emmy Squared Pizza, and Mia's Italian Kitchen.
