This Unsuspecting Virginia Eatery Has Been Serving Up World Famous Hot Dogs Since 1925
There are some things that never go out of style. One of them is the classic hot dog. If you agree, then there’s an eatery in Virginia that belongs on your radar. Tucked away in Wytheville, Skeeter’s Hot Dogs has been serving up their world-famous hot dogs since 1925. That means that few things have changed in almost 100 years — but that’s all part of the charm. Here’s more on what you can look forward to when you check out this beloved Virginia eatery.
Welcome to Skeeter's World Famous Hot Dogs! Since 1925, this building has been delighting locals and visitors to Wytheville with delicious food.
Open opening nearly 100 years ago, the business was originally called the E.N. Umberger Store and was located just a few buildings down on Main Street.
Mr. E.N. Umberger originally sold his hot dogs for just a nickel apiece. While the price has increased, the quality of the hot dogs hasn't changed one bit.
No matter your reason for stopping by Skeeter's, you'll be delighted to know that you're taking part in a nearly 100-year-old Virginia tradition!
