1. Dinwiddie Music Festival, June 4-6

2. Mountains of Music Homecoming, June 12-20
Abingdon – Throughout the year, the Crooked Road is the place to go for traditional mountain music – and this year celebrates the first ever region-wide festival. Join world-class bluegrass, gospel and old-time mountain musicians at more than 30 stops along the Crooked Road for a week long celebration of Virginia’s heritage music, dance and culture.
3. K95 CountryFest at The Meadow, June 20
Doswell – This year’s annual CountryFest features the Charlie Daniels’ Band and the Swon Brothers. A full day of music, demolition derbies, food and funky vendors that you won’t want to miss.
4. Wayne C. Henderson Music Festival and Guitar Competition, June 20
Mouth of Wilson - Taking place on the third weekend in June, this festival features traditional music from all over and highlights up and coming new artists. A portion of the proceeds are used as scholarship funds to help young artists continue their art and education.
5. Hampton Jazz Festival, June 26
Hampton – For 45 years, the Hampton Jazz Festival has showcased the best of jazz, pop, R & B and blues. If you love good music, good friends and good times, then this day long festival needs to be at the top of your list.
6. Shenandoah Valley Music Festival, July - September
Orkney Springs - Featuring some of the best mainstream, traditional, alternative and classical music, this eclectic line-up ensures that there is music for any one, any age, any time. 7. Wintergreen Summer Music Festival, July 6 – August 2
Roseland - Held at Wintergreen Resort, this month long celebration of classical music and the arts showcases some of the most talented musicians, vocalists and orchestras available anywhere. This year’s event celebrates 20 years of bringing world-class music to the Virginia mountains.
8. Wayside Bluegrass Festival, July 8-11
Stuart – Come for the day or stay through the weekend, either way you don’t miss this celebration of bluegrass at Wayside Park in Stuart.
9. Red Wing Roots Music Festival, July 10-12

11. Norfolk Waterfront Jazz Festival, July 17-18
Norfolk – As Hampton Roads longest running jazz festival, this festival brings the best of music and entertainment together in to 2 fun-filled days on the beautiful Norfolk Waterfront.
12. Winchester Blues House Music Festival, July 18
Winchester – Join the Winchester community for an incredible day of music and fun while helping to support Habitat For Humanity of Winchester and Frederick County.
13. FloydFest, July 22-26
Floyd – Floydfest features some of the top names in progressive, alternative, Americana and international music side-by-side with activities, events and absolute fun for any age. Camping or day tickets are available and an amazing time is guaranteed.
14. Galax Old Fiddlers’ Convention, August 3-8
Galax – This year marks the 80th annual Old Fiddler’s Convention in Galax. This annual event continues to be one of the finest displays of country and mountain music as hundreds of musicians gather to play and compete. Camping and day tickets are available.
15. Richmond Jazz Festival, August 6-9
Maymont Park – For three days this summer, more than 20 of the best local, national and international jazz musicians gather at Maymont Park to bring you 3 days of amazing music in one of the most beautiful settings in Richmond.
16. Patsy Cline Music Festival, September 3-6
Winchester - This multi-day festival celebrates the life and music of Winchester’s own Patsy Cline – one of the most influential and legendary country music artists of all time.
17. Lockn’ Music Festival at Oak Ridge Farm, September 10-13
