A Trip To This Themed Restaurant In Utah Is Simply Unforgettable
There's nothing tastier than a thick, juicy steak, and this themed restaurant in Ogden serves steak so good that you'll think you've hit the motherlode.
The Timbermine Steakhouse is nestled right at the base of Ogden Canyon. The address is 1701 Park Boulevard, Ogden.
The restaurant is filled with antiques and mine-themed memorabilia.
At the entrance to the mine shaft, you'll find a cozy hearth, along with a stag head and a mountain lion, ready to pounce.
Luckily, the cooks don't have to prepare your steak in a kitchen like this!
Check out the rusted ore cars full of rocks.
In the saloon area, hundreds of little, vintage bottles line the walls and front of the bar.
The main dining area has private booths that line the room, and a large display of trees, "miners" and a little creek.
The booths are all enclosed and lit with a mine lantern - you'll feel warm and cozy in this tucked-away little spot.
You definitely need to start your meal with some fried mushrooms - a Timbermine specialty.
You'd better come hungry, because the steaks here are so big they barely fit on the plate.
This huge slab of prime rib will melt in your mouth.
If you'd prefer something other than steak, try the bbq chicken or 10 oz. baked filet of halibut.
For dessert, you've got to try the Timber Pie - a warm slice of chocolate cookie pie, served with vanilla ice cream.
Visit the Timbermine Steakhouse for dinner Monday through Saturday, starting at 5 PM. The restaurant is closed on Sunday.
