You Can’t Beat The Food At This Small Town Cafe
Utah’s larger cities have tons of dining options, from humble taco carts to fancy gourmet offerings. But when you’re traveling around the lesser-population parts of the Beehive State, you can often find amazing little small-town cafes.
The Pie Dump has been located in the little town of Garland, Utah for 96 years, and it's still going strong. You'll find this little gem at 20 W. 1400 S., Garland, UT 84312.
This cozy restaurant has gone through many changes throughout the years and its name might be a little misleading...
The Pie Dump doesn't have pie on its daily menu. While it was once known for its amazing pies, today it's known for other tasty treats, including its absolutely decadent donuts.
Watch for daily bakery specials with frosted donut holes, jumbo donuts, cake donuts, apple fritters, and more.
The Pie Dump does offer home-baked pies for special order, and it bakes up more than 200 pies every year for Thanksgiving. To special order a pie, call the restaurant at 435-257-3947.
The Pie Dump opens at 6 a.m. on weekdays for breakfast (7 a.m. on Saturday), and they offer a full menu with pancakes, breakfast burritos and biscuits and gravy. But in our opinion, the best way to start your day is with a fresh-baked cinnamon roll and cup of coffee.
The rolls here are a local favorite. One bite and you'll be addicted to these fluffy little gems.
If you love the rolls like we do, you'll definitely want to try the Small Plate, the house specialty which includes a fresh, hot roll, a scoop of mashed potatoes and some delicious gravy.
The hand-cut fries are another favorite, and you can order up a big plate of them for a tasty snack.
Other delicious menu items include burgers, soups, and sandwiches.
Stop by The Pie Dump for a tasty meal or snack! It's open Monday through Saturday; closed on Sunday.
