Escape To Red Hills Desert Garden For A Beautiful Utah Nature Scene
When you’re feeling stressed or anxious, a stroll through some of Utah’ pretty, natural scenery is just what you need. It’s easy to find outdoor spaces that will relax and recharge you, and there’s one little garden in St. George that’s a perfect escape. Check out Red Hills Desert Garden:
Red Hills Desert Garden is an oasis that's just waiting to be explored! It offers almost 5,000 acres of beautiful desert plants.
Take a stroll along the paths that wind throughout the garden. They'll take you past several themed gardens, all of which feature water-efficient plants.
You might also be surprised to find a Flower Garden here! The desert isn't all about cactus; some flowers are abundant in this red-rock landscape. These Desert Marigolds are a good example.
The garden has a 1,150-foot stream that's home to Virgin Spinedance, Flannelmouth Sucker, Woundfin, Speckled Dace, Desert Sucker, and Virgin River Chub.
The garden also has a replica slot canyon, and prehistoric dinosaurs left their tracks throughout this area more than 200 million years ago, so keep a lookout for those as well.
Red Hills Desert Garden is open every day of the year, from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Admission is free.
