Karma Indian Cuisine is hidden away in a shopping center in Sandy. The address of the restaurant is 863 E. 9400 S., Sandy.

You'll be surprised at the luxurious feel of the dining room here. This restaurant might be located in a strip mall, but with its rich wood, warm chandeliers and vibrant colors, it's a much more glamorous restaurant than you'd expect.

Chef Roma Obaid brings many of her own recipes to the restaurant, focusing on fresh, quality ingredients. The family-owned restaurant includes Fazel and Roma Obaid, and their daughters Marikh and Mehwish.

Marikh, on the right in this photo, might look familiar to some readers - she's a contestant on the 2018 season of the tv show The Bachelor.

Start your meal with an order of fragrant naan. This traditional Indian flat bread is baked in a tandoor clay oven, and it's pillowy and delicious.

The Bombay fries are to die for. They're covered in spices and cilantro, with a little bit of lemon juice, then served with a mango compote.

If you're looking for something light, order one of the tikka salads. Choose from chicken, paneer or shrimp.
