Utah’s winter weather has been unseasonably warm, but this time of year, it’s even more beautiful in Southern Utah. Make plans now to visit this upcoming balloon festival in Kanab.
Starting on Friday, February 16th at 7:30 AM, the skies above Kanab will fill with brightly colored balloons.
The Kanab Balloons & Tunes Roundup takes place February 16th-18th.
Balloon pilots come from all over the country to participate in this event.
Launches occur on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 7:30 AM each morning. Make sure to wake up early so you don't miss the magic!
The launches take place at the former Coral Cliffs Golf Course, which is located at 755 Fairway Drive, Kanab.
Each balloon is unique, and all are beautiful. You'll definitely want to bring a camera with you to capture these stunning displays.
The Street Fair is the perfect party atmosphere, with music, crafts and plenty of food.
Food vendors will have plenty of tasty treats to tempt your tastebuds.
Enjoy live music with the Battle of the Bands on North Main Street. Bands compete for the prize on Friday, February 16th from 3 PM to 9 PM, and Saturday, February 17th from 11 AM to 5 PM.

On Saturday, February 17th, the top three bands will play for the crowd from 6 PM to 9 PM.
From 7 PM to 8 PM, Balloon Glow parades down Center Street (all the balloons line up and go right overhead!). Following the Balloon Glow, head to North Main Street from 8 PM to 9 PM, where you can release a lantern for the Wishing Lantern Event.

Balloon rides aren't available during the festival; but you might be able to get in on the action by becoming a balloon crew volunteer.
