Utah’s Hogle Zoo Is Full Of Furry Faces, And They’re Ready To Say Hello This Spring

Springtime in Utah means a trip to Hogle Zoo, and we can’t wait to visit soon to see all the beautiful animals that call this place home. The zoo recently opened back up to the public, but there are special restrictions in place to keep everyone healthy and safe, and you’ll need to plan your trip in advance. Keep reading for all the details.

Hogle Zoo is home to hundreds of amazing animals, and it's the perfect place to spend a sunny, spring day.

You'll find the zoo at the mouth of Emigration Canyon, at 2600 Sunnyside Avenue in Salt Lake City, Utah.
The zoo has been closed for awhile due to COVID-19, and these furry faces have been missing all of you!

As a temporary measure, the zoo is limiting the number of guests allowed on the grounds at one time, so you'll need to purchase a timed ticket in advance online.

If you're a zoo member, you still need reservations - have your membership card ready when you hop on the website. For online reserved tickets, click here.

Make sure you're on time for your time slot, as late guests won't be allowed in. If you arrive early, you'll need to wait in your car until your ticketed admission time. There's no re-admission once you leave, so bring everything you need for your visit with you when you enter.
Social distancing can help keep everyone safe, and the paths will have one-way arrows to keep everyone going in the same direction.

You're welcome to step off the path to see an exhibit, but be mindful of others who are also there. Keep your distance!
The zoo strongly recommends wearing a face mask during your visit.

According to the CDC, some people infected by COVID-19 don't show symptoms for several days, and others never show symptoms at all, but can still be contagious. If you and everyone around you wears a mask, your exposure is greatly decreased.
The zoo's indoor exhibits, the Zoofari Express train, Conservation Carousel and the gift shop will be closed for the time being, but you can find some swag at several outdoor kiosks.

Zoo visits are limited to two hours right now, but that should give you plenty of time to say hello to all your favorite animals.

These temporary measures are designed to help keep guests and staff at the zoo healthy and safe. They'll be lifted as soon as it's safe to do so, but in the meantime, it's definitely worth a few precautionary measures to get to enjoy the zoo!
