This fall, the quiet streets of Jefferson, Wisconsin will be filled with magic.
For three days, every witch and wizard for miles around will be practicing spells...
...checking out owls...
...and playing Quidditch. On October 19, 20 and 21, Jefferson will host its second Harry Potter Festival.
Previously the wildly successful Festival was held in Edgerton.
The little town of only 5,000 residents was overrun by nearly 50,000 fans during the festival last year. A larger venue was definitely needed!
Jefferson is already excited about this fall's festival.
Wristbands are on sale now for $11, which includes entrance to the festival. Get yours at City Hall.
Luckily, Jefferson is not as far away as Hogwarts.
In fact, this little town's location makes it perfect - it's just 30 minutes from Madison. It's near both Interstate 94 and Interstate 90, so no matter where you're coming from, it's a short broom-ride to the festivities.
There's no word yet on the list of festivities, but one of the highlights of the other festivals was the parade.
Get out your best wizard robes so you can participate, too!
Make plans to dress up as a family - this event is fun for everyone.
A pub crawl can also be expected during the festivities.
