There's nothing we love better than a delicious burger, and it tastes even better on a road trip. There's a popular spot in the tiny town of Green River that's well-known for it's perfectly-prepared burgers, and it's been around since 1943. Have you visited Ray's Tavern for a burger and a beer? If not, it's about time!
Ray's Tavern is a well-loved spot in Green River that's been serving up delicious burgers and steaks since 1943.
The place hasn't changed much since 1943. It's got a rustic vibe and friendly service. While Ray's is often full of locals, don't hesitate to stop in. The slogan here is "A place for everyone," and they live up to it.
This place is hopping on weekends, when bikers stop for a burger, locals hang out to talk shop, and tourists from all over the world fall in love with the place (both the town of Green River, and Ray's, of course).
It might be tricky to snag a booth on a busy Saturday at lunchtime, but make sure to at least get a look at these hand-carved beauties - they've probably been at Ray's longer than you've been alive.
Of course, your stomach will start growling the minute you walk in the door, because the aroma of meat on the grill fills the place, from opening time to closing time.
The burgers are the stars of the show here. They're fresh, juicy, and charbroiled to perfection. Then they're served with a side of fries or coleslaw.
You'll find a fancy condiment caddy on your table with all the sauce to dress your burger (including fry sauce). And by fancy, we mean an up-cycled, cardboard six-pack holder.
It goes without saying that your burger will pair perfectly with any one of the beers on tap here. Ray's loves the locals, and features Wasatch, Squatters, and Uinta brews.
Looking for something a little more substantial to sink your teeth into? Try one of the four steaks on the menu.
Ray's Tavern is open seven days a week, from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Check out the official Ray's Tavern Facebook page to see more mouthwatering burger photos and see what's up at the tavern right now.
