When the autumn leaves start turning, it's time to get out and enjoy the views. Our leaf-peeping season is typically short and sweet here in the Beehive State, so you'll want to plan your fall hike, scenic drive, or autumn adventure soon - before you know it, we'll have snow!

1. Alpine Loop Scenic Byway

A scenic drive on the Alpine Loop Scenic Byway is an annual tradition for many Utahns.

2. Bryce Canyon National Park

Tucked amongst the redrock hoodos and spires, you'll find fall foliage casting its own warm, magical glow.

3. Big Cottonwood Canyon

Take a hike in Big Cottonwood Canyon to immerse yourself in fall foliage.

4. Little Cottonwood Canyon

Little Cottonwood Canyon is just as beautiful as its sister to the north. Visit Snowbird Resort and hop on the tram or chairlift to see the fall foliage from above.

5. Logan Canyon

Logan Canyon is one of the most scenic canyons in the state during autumn months. Take the hike up to the Wind Caves and sit in a perch high above the beautiful trees.

7. Red Butte Garden

Red Butte Garden is an outdoor oasis year-round. In the fall, expect gorgeous autumn hues and some great views of the Salt Lake Valley.

8. Fishlake National Forest

The Fishlake National Forest is full of aspens, which turn to orange and golden shades in the fall. Pay a visit to Pando while you're there - the gigantic aspen clone is the world's heaviest living organism.

Head up to Ogden Valley this fall to visit Snowbasin. The landscape down below is a palette of warm shades of red, orange, and yellow...and you'll often find an early sprinkling of snow in the mix.
