The Town In South Dakota With The Most Scrumdiddilyumptious Restaurants
South Dakota's largest towns have tons of great restaurants - it would take you months to explore all the dining options in Sioux Falls, for instance. Sometimes you want to go farther afield to find a new place, though. Head North on I-29 to Watertown, which only has around 22,000 people, and your tastebuds will thank you.
Watertown is a thriving community that around 22,000 people call home. It's located about 100 miles north of Sioux Falls. While it's nowhere near as big, this friendly town has plenty to offer when it comes to delicious dining options.
Dempsey's Brewery Restaurant and Pub is family-owned and operated. It's located at 127 N. Broadway.
Everything on the menu here is tasty, but you'd be crazy not to try the pizza. Dempsey's recently won first place for our region in a national pizza contest.
The accolades don't end there, though! Brewmaster and bartender Adam Erickson won the "Overall Champion Best Bartender 2017" in a competition in Deadwood earlier this year.

You'll find Watertown Brewing Company at 113 E Kemp Avenue.
This place serves up all the best pub food, including specialty burgers. This is the 3 Musketeer Burger, which comes with bacon, beef and chicken, smothered in house bbq sauce.
Get a flight so you can try several of the craft beers they brew here.
Charley's is located inside the Goss Opera House on the corner of Kemp and Maple.
This cozy restaurant serves up some delicious gourmet fare in a historic setting.
While the food is definitely luxurious, the atmosphere is friendly and relaxed.
