It's located in southern Oklahoma in the middle of scenic mountains, it has great weather, and it's loaded with outdoor recreation. Honestly, I think it's the most beautiful place in the state and everyone should experience its beauty.
Broken Bow and the nearby town of Hochatown are nestled in southeast Oklahoma near the foothills of the Kiamichi Mountains – a sub-range of the breathtaking Ouachita Mountains. The two towns are so close to each other, it's hard to tell when you leave one and enter the other.
Broken Bow is a gateway city to Beavers Bend Resort Park and Hochatown State Park. The town lies within McCurtain County and has a population of just over 4,000 residents.

Unfortunately, in 1926, Thomas sold the resort park to a corporation after he was elected to the Senate. Shortly thereafter, the town declined due to wars and economic hardship. However, the town’s residents refused to allow their community to waste away and teamed up with the local government to revive the dying town.
