This quaint and cozy town goes all out for Christmas with lights and decorations, and you must visit this season. Not only is this town charming during the Christmas season, but so are many others. In fact, Cheapism.com named Sulphur the best Christmas town in Oklahoma in 2017. Honestly, it should have kept winning every year after that, but I digress.

Christmas in Sulphur is a month-long celebration that takes place throughout the month of December. Festivities include an amazing Christmas light show on Muskogee Street featuring bright stars, sparkling trees, dazzling blue light towers, and more. Guests are also invited to view a nightly light show from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. through the end of December. For 2025, however, things may be a little different compared to previous years, thanks to a tornado back in the spring of 2024. Sulphur is plucky and strong, though, and it will take more than a tornado to get them down, especially for the holidays. However, parts of the town are still being rebuilt.

The opening night of the festivities is filled with an extra touch of magic. This year, the Sulphur Christmas Parade of Lights will take place on December 1, 2025, beginning at 6 p.m. Most downtown businesses decorate for the season, and the light displays throughout the season are truly magical.
