There are many amazing small towns in North Carolina, and we look forward to visiting them all! One of our favorites for a weekend adventure is the charming town of Cashiers. You'll find plenty to see and things to do in Cashiers, NC. In fact, the 700 or so residents who get to experience it every day will surely tell you that a weekend getaway in Cashiers, North Carolina, is most definitely worth your while. Let's discover some of the cool adventures this sweet town has to offer.

1. Silver Run Falls

Get there early and start your day out with some gorgeous waterfalls. With very little effort, the 0.2-mile out-and-back trail to Silver Run Falls is located off N.C. Route 107, 4.1 miles south of Cashiers. The big payoff is a 30-foot spill into a pool of water where you can swim. And while you're there, visit Coyote Falls right down the road, and Whitewater Falls is also in the area.

2. The Village Green

Here is another

one of the best natural attractions in the state. This interesting structure is one of many. Walk the Boardwalk Trail and visit the nationally-acclaimed Dahlia Garden.

3. Hotel Cashiers

You'll find this retro motor lodge inn right in the heart of town, offering upscale boutique accommodations in a lovely mountain setting.

4. Chile Loco Authentic Mexican Restaurant

And from the hotel, you'll have access to the Cashiers Ramble Walking Trail connecting you to the center of town where you'll find delicious food at Chile Loco. We love the fresh ceviche served with scrumptious vegetables.

5. Canyon Spa at Lonesome Valley

The morning brings a massage that is worth the 8-mile drive to Sapphire, a full-service boutique spa in a beautifully restored caretaker’s cottage. Book an appointment before your trip.

6. A Jones Company

Time for some shopping at the local boutiques and one-of-a-kind shops offered in Cashiers. A Jones Company’s Facebook page offers a glimpse of this charming store's inventory.

7. The Village Hound

8. Cashiers Farmers Market

For the freshest produce in the area, baked goods, cheeses, and even a restaurant, this is the place to go.

9. Grimshawes Post Office

While this is a little off the beaten path, Grimshawes Post Office, constructed in about 1878, is a worthwhile stop through history.
