The Four Corners area of the Land of Enchantment offers a variety of natural wonders, landmarks, ruins, and all sorts of outdoor adventures. If you love outdoor adventures & activities in New Mexico, this two-day itinerary is for you! From the Bisti Badlands to a lovely park with a riverfront trail, delicious Mexican food, a stay in a cozy vacation rental, and time out on one of the largest lakes in the state, you'll get your fill of the great outdoors.

From national parks and campgrounds to waterfalls, canyons, and more, there is so much to love about America’s natural splendor — and June, designated as Great Outdoors Month, is the perfect time to get outside.

Marvel at Bisti / De-Na-Zin Wilderness Area

Bisti / De-Na-Zin Wilderness Area is home to an otherworldly landscape of rock formations that will make you feel as though you're on another planet.

To say the landscape here is unique is a massive understatement. Over time, erosion and the elements have shaped the rocks into what you see today. Open year-round, Bisti / De-Na-Zin Wilderness Area is free to visit and makes a great first stop on this two-day itinerary.

Explore Berg Park

Next, we head to Farmington's Berg Park which offers a plethora of outdoor activities.

This park has wonderful play areas for the kiddos, a river, and trails. Spend some time exploring the park and hiking by the river.
