The Cozy Small Town In New Mexico That Comes Alive Under A Blanket Of Snow
There are certain towns that really come to life in the winter. This includes Taos, an idyllic winter town in New Mexico.
While winter can be bitterly cold, it also evokes a sense of calm, quiet, and coziness. It can also be such a wonderful time of year, as long as we make the most of it. While many of us prefer the other seasons of the year, I've always enjoyed the winter months. Bundled up to go outdoors or stay inside, winter is a cozy time of year! And there's one cozy winter town in New Mexico you'll have to plan on visiting this season. This town comes to life when there's a blanket of snow covering the ground.
One of the most charming small towns in New Mexico, hands down, is Taos. Spring, summer, fall, or winter, it doesn't matter when you visit -- it's honestly so delightful and one of my favorite towns in New Mexico.
While Taos is beautiful year-round, winter in Taos does have a certain appeal...
For those who can't wait to hit the slopes once the first snowfall of the season arrives, there's no better place to be than Taos. Taos Ski Valley is one of the top-rated ski resorts in the U.S. Offering skiing, snowboarding, lodging, dining, and even a spa, it's no wonder why this is the place to be in winter.
During the first weekend of February, the Taos Winter Wine Festival is held. This event includes 25 wineries and is a favorite for many. Festival attendees can enjoy wine seminars, luncheons, tastings, and more. Visit the Taos Winter Wine Festival website for more information and to purchase tickets for this exciting event.
When it's winter in Taos, visitors and locals alike also love hitting the trails on snowshoes or cross-country skis. It's so much fun to be here this time of year!
