I love a good road trip. In fact, it is one of my favorite ways to travel and explore. Often, I will create road trip itineraries with a theme in mind from waterfalls to hidden gems. Lately, the theme has been ... dinosaurs!
Here in the Treasure State, we have the Montana Dinosaur Trail, a state-wide route that takes you to 14 destinations that each teach you more about life on Earth many, many years ago. However, if you are like me, I don’t always have time to visit each attraction. So, I've created the following road trip itinerary. It is a three-day adventure that takes you to just a few of my favorite dinosaur-themed destinations in the northern and northeastern parts of Montana. From museums to state parks, this is a paleontologist’s dream adventure for when you only have a weekend to explore.
