The forests of DuPage County are absolutely magical during winter. From the forests to the rivers to the waterfalls, everything is instantly transformed when the snow falls.

Kline Creek Farm in West Chicago host a magical winter sleigh ride in Illinois, as well as other winter activities throughout the season. Their Farm Life in Winter programming will continue to be updated as the season progresses.

When the sleigh rides to begin, this 20-minute ride takes guests around the grounds. If there is more than four inches of snow, the sleigh is used, otherwise guests sit in wagons. Either way, it's one of the best winter outdoor activities in Ilinois.

Kline Creek Farm is an 1800s living history attraction located at the Timer Ridge Forest Preserve. The main attraction is a restored farmstead that guests can tour. Cattle, sheep, pastures, gardens, sheds, and an assortment of produce and other products can be found here depending on the time of year.

Last year, rides departed at 2 p.m., 2:30 p.m., and 3 p.m. Stop by Friday through Sunday at the end of December for your chance to enjoy a magical winter sleigh ride in Illinois.
