This Charming Community Might Just Be The Most Peaceful Place To Live In Connecticut

We could all use a little more peace in our lives. It feels like every time you pull up social media, you're bombarded with bad news from somewhere in the world. It's good to stay informed on current events, but it can also be overwhelming, and one thing I like to do to keep myself sane is take a bit of a break every once in a while. Relax, disconnect, and go to a peaceful place where you can focus on yourself and those closest to you. We're lucky enough to have plenty of peaceful towns in Connecticut, but one of my favorites is Colchester. This historic small town has a surprising amount to do, plenty of history, a great vibe, and, perhaps most importantly, no shortage of tranquility.

Colchester is a town in New London County with just under 16,000 people, though it has the vibe of a much smaller town. It is home to the villages of Westchester and North Westchester.

Founded in 1698, this was the eighth town to be established in Connecticut. As you can imagine, there's a lot of history here, and quite a few historical buildings to check out.
