Wildfires Are Raging Through Texas And Are Devastating Parts Of The State

This week alone, nearly one million acres of land in the U.S. have been devastated in the wake of wildfires. Unfortunately, Texas has not been immune to this destruction. The Panhandle has seen the worst of it, with at least five deaths reported from the fires as well as hundreds of evacuations. Here’s more on the heartbreaking situation going on in Texas this week:

On Monday afternoon, deadly fires were reported in Lipscomb, Gray and Potter counties.

According to the Texas A&M Forest Service, nearly half a million acres have been burned by these fires.

The situation in this part of Texas has been so severe that the Governor has deployed resources to help combat the fires.
