The Sky High Pool In Texas That’s Not For The Faint Of Heart

A plexiglass floor suspends swimmers 500 feet in the air at this incredible Texas pool.

If you’ve ever wanted to feel like you’re flying high above the city streets, this pool might be just the thing. The residential high-rise Market Square Tower in Houston is home to one of the most stomach-turning swimming pools you’ll ever see. Jutting out 10 feet from the side of the 42nd floor, this glass-bottomed pool lets guests see straight down to the streets below.

Don’t worry though – taking a dip here is perfectly safe. Five and a half inches of plexiglass separate swimmers from a free fall, and the pool was modeled after a similar one in Dubai. It was designed to withstand hurricane conditions.

If you have a fear of heights, this is definitely not the right pool for you. Check out the video below to see exactly how it feels walking across this gorgeous (and slightly terrifying) swimming pool.
