Kites are a classic American pastime, and, contrary to popular belief, they aren't just for kids. If you’ve never had the opportunity to witness a sky full of vibrant colors and unique designs, that's truly a shame. Luckily, Hermann Park Conservancy is hosting its seventh annual kite festival in just a few months, so families can have the experience of a lifetime.
This coming spring, kites of all shapes, sizes, and colors will take to the Houston skies for the seventh year in a row. Children and adults can partake in the event, making memories sure to last a lifetime.
Thousands of people converge from all over the city to partake in the action. It should be a bright and sunny spring day, perfect for some good old-fashioned kite flying.
You'll see familiar characters from popular movies and TV shows, all mingling with one another in the clouds.
Other activities include live entertainment, crafts, face painting, food trucks, and so much more. There's enough fun to keep the whole family occupied all day long!
Nothing brings families together quite like spending quality time outdoors. Just look at those ear-to-ear grins! Absolutely priceless.
Wanna know the best part? Admission is totally free for all ages! That means nobody gets left out of the festivities.
Address: 1700 Hermann Drive, Houston, TX 77004. The festival will run from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 20, 2020.
