There literally is no attraction in the world like the Congress Avenue bats – they’re the largest urban colony on the planet. Nowhere else will you find more of these majestic creatures making their presence known all at once. If only these little bats knew how famous they are, drawing hundreds of onlookers every night of the summer. They’ve attracted a cult-like following in Austin, with professional photographers and awestruck children alike heading out to catch a glimpse of their spectacular show at dusk. If you have yet to experience it, what are you waiting for? Summer 2016 is drawing to a close, and it would be a crying shame to wait an entire year to watch one of the most mesmerizing, talked-about animal spectacles in the country.
