This Is The Best View In Texas And It’s Absolutely Breathtaking
…Okay, that might be a heavy statement considering how gorgeous Texas is, but this is definitely a view you’ve probably never seen before. If you ride the elevator on the San Jacinto monument up to the very top (almost 500 feet!), you’ll have the opportunity to gaze out at a stunning panoramic view of the former battleground of one of the most legendary fights our state has ever seen. It’s a truly amazing experience for history buffs and everyone else alike, and although there are plenty of arguably “prettier” views in the state, this one holds a special meaning that amplifies its beauty tenfold.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life as we all practice social and physical distancing. While we’re continuing to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, we don’t expect or encourage you to go check them out immediately. We believe that supporting local attractions is important now more than ever and we hope our articles inspire your future adventures! And on that note, please nominate your favorite local business that could use some love right now: https://www.onlyinyourstate.com/nominate/
