The Best Biscuits In America Can Be Found In Small Town Texas
As cute as the Pillsbury Dough Boy is, his biscuits don’t hold a candle to those made in a small-town Southern kitchen. There’s just something about the love and passion (and let’s not forget about the heaps of real butter and sugar) that go into down-home cookin’ that’s unmatched by anything or anyone else. Maxine’s on Main in Bastrop is no exception. The biscuits that come with their signature brunch of pancakes, home fries, chicken-fried steak, and eggs are as fluffy as a cloud and as rich as a stick of butter. If you’ve never had one, trust me when I say you’re missing out big time.
